From Sicily to Oceanside, More Than 100 Years in the Making
The story of Trinacria Pizza Co. didn’t begin in Oceanside. It began more than a century ago in Sicily.
Our family’s roots and bloodlines run deep there. Our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-uncles were born in Sicily, carrying traditions, recipes, stories, and a love of food that have been passed from one generation to the next.
In the 1920s, part of our family made the journey from Sicily to America through New York. That chapter became part of our family story — and today, it inspires our New York-style pizza.
From New York, the journey continued to Detroit, where generations of our family lived through Prohibition, the Great Depression, and the decades that followed. In the late 1960s, another generation of the Trupiano family immigrated from Sicily to Detroit, strengthening those family roots. That history lives on in our Detroit-style pizza.
Then came California.
Our family arrived in California in 1986, beginning another chapter in our restaurant story. Today, Oceanside is home. Southern California has become part of who we are, bringing a California influence and West Coast personality to everything we do.
Today, father and son Tore and Damiano Trupiano continue that journey together.
Trinacria Pizza Co. was created for people who truly love pizza. We don’t cut corners. We don’t rush fermentation. We respect old-school techniques while embracing new ideas and the incredible ingredients available here in California.
Our pizza program reflects the journey that brought us here: Sicilian roots. New York influence. Detroit history. California soul.
